## API boundaries

Use /v1 as the site base URL. GET /v1/models lists the free route when enabled. POST /v1/chat/completions requires a site bearer key. The route selects its model automatically; provider names in guides do not guarantee a named model. Output is capped at 256 tokens; at most 6 messages and 6,000 normalized JSON input characters. Streaming is buffered SSE after the upstream response completes. Check /api/status for current limits and enablement before calling. Responses API, images, audio and embeddings are not exposed.
