Access and billing conditions
Xiaomi documents both pay-as-you-go API access and a separate Token Plan. They use different base URLs and credential types. The direct API is not the same as consumer MiMo access; check your account's current pricing and plan before sending a request.
Current Xiaomi MiMo API route and model IDs
For the pay-as-you-go API, Xiaomi documents the OpenAI-compatible base URL https://api.xiaomimimo.com/v1. The standard text model IDs include mimo-v2.6-pro and mimo-v2.6-flash; use the exact model shown for your account and a key created for that API product.
The API reference also lists mimo-v2.6-pro-ultraspeed, but Xiaomi labels access a customized service. Confirm eligibility before selecting that ID; it is not guaranteed for every standard API key. Token Plan is a separate product: its documented base URL is https://token-plan-cn.xiaomimimo.com/v1 and it uses the matching plan credential. Keep the key and host from the same product. Xiaomi marks mimo-v2.5 and mimo-v2.5-pro deprecated as of 21 October 2026; use the current model list rather than copying older tutorials.
Find the exact MiMo model ID and prepare a no-key request. The route handoff only prepares a request locally.
First tool call works, later request returns 400?
In thinking mode, Xiaomi documents reasoning_content alongside tool_calls and recommends preserving all previous reasoning content in the messages array on each follow-up request. Compare the actual outgoing history with the original assistant response, including its tool call and matching tool result; do not strip reasoning_content as a generic cleanup.
The public 400 Param Incorrect report linked below used the older mimo-v2.5 models and Token Plan host. It does not establish that the current v2.6 pay-as-you-go route still reproduces that issue. Read the source-scoped history checks.
Model IDs, endpoints and history guidance checked against Xiaomi documentation on 1 November 2026. No MiMo account, key or model request was used.
Set the connection in your app
In an app that supports a custom OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions endpoint, choose the MiMo product on your account, use its matching base URL and key, and select a current model ID. The standard pay-as-you-go route is shown below; Token Plan has a separate host.

mimo-v2.6-proStandard text model IDs include mimo-v2.6-pro and mimo-v2.6-flash. Xiaomi also lists mimo-v2.6-pro-ultraspeed as a customized service, so standard API access is not guaranteed. The older mimo-v2.5 and mimo-v2.5-pro IDs were deprecated on 21 October 2026.

Before you use the result
- For thinking-mode multi-turn tool calls, Xiaomi recommends preserving all returned reasoning_content in the messages sent with each follow-up request. Keep the original assistant tool-call message and its matching tool result.
- A public 400 Param Incorrect issue used the older mimo-v2.5 IDs and Token Plan endpoint. It does not confirm that the current v2.6 pay-as-you-go route still has the same defect.
- Match the API product, key type, base URL and model ID before debugging the request. Compare the saved message history with the actual outgoing JSON.
- This site prepares a route-only request and does not send your key or make a MiMo request.
